Pemdas is a form for solving equations no matter if it is expanded or factored form. P stands for parenthesis first you do in a expanded or factored form every thing that is in parenthesis. Then the E stands for Exponents. The M stands for Multiplication after you do step two. Then if it has division you do it this is D = Division. Then you do A = Addition and finally S= Subtraction.

Pemdas is order of operation the way and steps you should take, this is a good form or guide you should take. This will help you to do better at order of operation, also to get the correct answer and not to get the wrong answer by not doing the steps.

I will use this form to help me get the correct answer.

Distributive Property

There are two types of distributive properties that are expanded form and factored form. Expanded form is when an equation is written in expand form, for example y=x2 -4 this in expanded form now I am going to show you in factored form this like that y=(x+2)(x-2).
An other form to do this is this one 8a+8b is expand form and the factored form is 8(a+b). the process is you get the common factor and then multiply by the numbers or letters inside the parentesis( ).

It can help you to do this process you could do a box and divide it by four then put the numbers of the factored form outside the box, then you multiply for each box lets say out side is 4 5 6 and x. you multiply 4*5, and so on for each one. so the expanded form for this would be 24+30+4x+5x, then you siplify: 54+9x.
Also you can do viseverce from factored form to expanded form.

My name is Patricio Cevallos I am a eight grader at Colegio Menor. I have been told to be a mathematician and teach math so that others know more about it. My audience will be my classmates teachers and those how want to know about math.

My product will be to make three projects these projects will be done, one on excel. The other will be a blog on the Internet, the other and last project I will choose that will be done in power point. I will put all my knowledge to teach you and let you know that math is beautiful.
Here I will tell you what I am going to do in each program. In excel I am going to do equations and tables. Also I will use almost all the tools that this program let me to use. In the blog I will show you what you can do with math and how wonder full is this subject. On this Blog I will put all my effort so that more people learn more about math and the sub topic Making Sense of Symbols.
